Seiko New Models 2025 ‘s latest models pay tribute to classic designs and offer something compelling for both seasoned collectors and newcomers to the brand. Here’s what Seiko has introduced and why it’s capturing the attention of watch enthusiasts everywhere.
Seiko New Models 2025 [December 2025]
Seiko Introduces Special Seiko 5 Sports Pink Panther Limited Edition Model
Seiko is introducing a new Seiko 5 Sports SKX model inspired by the animated Pink Panther, called the Seiko 5 Sports Pink Panther Limited Edition SRPM07, and it leans fully into its pink theme.
The watch uses the familiar Seiko 5 Sports SKX case, built in brushed stainless steel at 38mm wide, 12.1mm thick and 44mm lug to lug. It has a Hardlex crystal on top and a unidirectional bezel with a black insert that carries a pink 60 minute scale in the Pink Panther style. The caseback features a pink tinted crystal with the Pink Panther logo. The crown is placed at 4 o’clock and water resistance is 100 meters.
The dial is a vivid pink with embossed paw prints on the left side. It keeps the standard mix of round and pill shaped hour markers with LumiBrite, and the seconds hand has a pink counterweight with a lumed dot. A day date window sits at 3 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the 4R36 movement, running at 3Hz with a 41 hour power reserve. It is not meant to be ultra precise, but it is reliable and sturdy. The watch comes with a three link steel bracelet and an extra bright pink NATO style strap decorated with the Panther’s footprints and the phrase “Wet Paint”.
The Seiko 5 Sports Pink Panther is limited to 9,999 pieces and will be available starting January next year, priced at €460.
Seiko Honors Initial D, The Manga And Anime That Popularized Drifting
Seiko has been busy with collaborations lately. Not long ago, they released several watches with Datsun, a car brand that technically no longer exists. Shortly after, they announced an official partnership with Pepsi, giving us the first watches that can truly carry the Pepsi name. Now, Seiko is taking things in a more niche direction with the Seiko X Initial D 30th Anniversary.
This release pays tribute to the iconic manga and anime Initial D, which follows Takumi Fujiwara, the tofu shop owner’s son who drives a panda-colored Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno, often sideways. The series turned the AE86 into a legend of street racing and drifting, first in Japan and eventually around the world.
The Seiko X Initial D 30th Anniversary will be limited to 1,995 pieces, a number chosen to mark the year the manga first debuted. From what’s known, it looks like this will be a Japan-only release, making it harder to track down. The watch is expected to go on sale in January 2026, though it hasn’t appeared on Seiko’s official website yet. The only listing so far is through Japan Select, a retailer that specializes in sourcing Japanese domestic market watches for international buyers.
Three of the Six New Prospex Speedtimers Released by Seiko Honor Vintage Datsuns
Seiko just dropped six new additions to the Prospex Speedtimer lineup in one day, a rare and exciting move, even for them. Among these, three were created in tribute to Datsun’s legacy. That connection traces back to 1971, when Seiko sponsored the now-legendary Datsun 240Z as it powered through and won the brutal East African Safari Rally. Let’s begin with those Speedtimers inspired by that racing heritage.
The SPB517 model is limited to 2,500 units and priced at around €1,250. Click here for more information about the watch.
Beam x Seiko Inspired Monster Prospex Diver
Seiko has always been really good at collaborations, we know that. But is it just me, or have some of their collaborations gotten so much better over the past two or three years? Their latest collaboration happens with Japanese clothing and lifestyle brand BEAMS, this time in the form of the Prospex “Monster” Reference SKX781 which comes in a two-tone setup with actual gold plating, inspired by underwater monsters
The new Seiko x BEAMS Prospex “Monster” Reference SKX781 is limited to just 300 pieces and is available exclusively through BEAMS stores. Considering the amount of gold plating, the price is fairly reasonable at €500. It has sold out now, but you can check out other retailers for a reasonable price.
Compact Mechanical Diver’s Watch in Cobalt Blue SRPL51
Seiko has worked with PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, on several models over the years. These collaborations have included designs based on the 1965 Heritage Diver and the Samurai. One of the latest is the Seiko Prospex Diver 200M SRPL51, featuring a blue dial and matching blue bezel.
The new Seiko Prospex 200M Diver SRPL51 will be available starting in July, priced at €650. For more details, visit the Seiko website.
Seiko Celebrates 50 Years Of Jaws
For many of us, Jaws was a defining movie of our childhoods. I grew up near the Adriatic Sea and spent plenty of time in the water, yet even now, a small part of my mind still whispers, what if… Sightings of Great White sharks in the Adriatic are so rare that I’m more likely to be hit by a falling piano than encounter one, but that just shows how powerful the film was. Jaws didn’t just scare us, it also launched the summer blockbuster genre, and this year marks its 50th anniversary.
To celebrate, Seiko has released a fun and fitting collaboration, the Seiko Prospex JAWS 50th Anniversary SRPL81. This special edition is technically limited, though in typical Seiko fashion, that means 5,000 pieces. It goes on sale in July and is priced at $795. You can learn more on the Seiko website.

Seiko Partners With Pepsi To Launch A Pair Of Watches
Watch enthusiasts have a habit of giving nicknames to nearly every watch they come across. Some nicknames are niche, while others are so widely used that they feel almost official. For example, Rolex doesn’t officially sell a GMT-Master II called the Pepsi, but most collectors will instantly recognize that name for the red and blue bezel. Until now, these nicknames were entirely community-driven. But Seiko just made a move that could be one of the smartest in recent years, the brand teamed up with Pepsi to release the first officially licensed Pepsi watches. The result is a pair of Seiko 5 Sports models, the SRPL99 and SSK047 limited editions.
Each watch comes fitted with a Pepsi-branded silicone strap. They’re priced at €540, available in September, and limited to 7,000 pieces. More details can be found on Seiko’s website.
Seiko and Bamford collaborate for an intriguing version on the Seiko 5
I rarely write about watches that are already sold out. It doesn’t make much sense to talk about something you can’t buy. Sometimes, a watch is released and sells out so quickly that I don’t even have time to cover it before it’s gone. And on rare occasions, I actually feel disappointed about it because I really like the limited edition. This is one of those cases. The Seiko 5 Sports x Bamford Limited Edition sold out within minutes yesterday, but I’m still writing about it because I plan to get one on the secondary market for sure.
The new Seiko 5 Sports x Bamford Limited Edition was produced in just 2,025 pieces and priced at £400 at Seiko’s UK boutique. As mentioned, they sold out quickly, but I’ve already set up alerts to catch one when it appears on the secondary market. You can find more details on Seiko’s website.
Seiko Revives The Iconic Watch Worn By NASA Legend Gene Kranz
If you’re into space, you probably already know who Gene Kranz is. If not, you might recognize him as the character Ed Harris played in Apollo 13. Eugene Francis Kranz, or Gene, was NASA’s Chief Flight Director and led key missions during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. He was in charge during Apollo 13 when things went wrong, and also during Apollo 11, the first moon landing. He’s easy to spot in NASA photos thanks to his bright white vest. What’s not as well known is the watch he wore, the Seiko 5 Sports 6119-8460, now nicknamed the Gene Kranz. Recently, Seiko has been reissuing watches based on historic models, like the Kamen Rider and the Prospex Navigator Timer. Now, they’re bringing back the Gene Kranz design with the Seiko 5 Sports SRPL91 and SRPL93.
The new Seiko 5 Sports “Gene Kranz” SRPL91 and SRPL93 will be available starting in July, each limited to 9,999 pieces. They’re priced at €460. For more details, visit the Seiko website here.
Seiko Collaborates With PADI for Two New Green-Themed Dive Watches
Seiko is known as a go-to brand for dive watches, so it makes perfect sense that they’ve partnered with PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, to create a dedicated collection. This collaboration isn’t new, Seiko and PADI have worked together for decades, not just to design watches but also to support ocean conservation efforts.
Now, we’re getting two fresh additions to the lineup, the Seiko Prospex SPB501 Diver’s Watch 1965 Heritage PADI Special Edition and the Seiko Prospex SRPL53 Diver’s Watch Mechanical PADI Special Edition. The SRPL53 comes fitted with a three-link steel bracelet and will be available starting in June, priced at €670. For more details, visit the Seiko website.
Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph SSC955
Late last year, Seiko released two standout Prospex Speedtimers in quick succession, the SSC937, exclusive to the EU, and the globally available SSC953. The blue dial on the SSC937 was beautiful, while the red on the SSC953 was even more striking. At the time, I suggested that the Speedtimer could be an unexpected but exciting platform for Seiko to take more creative risks. It looks like that’s starting to happen. Now, Seiko is introducing the SSC955, made for this year’s World Athletics Championships in Japan, featuring a dial in a soft, eye-catching shade of lavender.
The new Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph SSC955 goes on sale in August, limited to 6,000 pieces. It’s priced at €770. For more information, visit the Seiko website.
King Seiko VANAC Collection
Seiko has also revived the King Seiko VANAC name, first seen in the 1970s. These new watches draw from Tokyo’s cityscape, the birthplace of King Seiko, with five versions: Tokyo Twilight, Tokyo Midnight, Tokyo Sunrise, Tokyo Horizon, and Tokyo Brilliant Sunlight. Each model represents a different time of day over the skyline.
Elegance Collection 44GS “Kiri” (SBGW323)
Expanding the 44GS line to 36.5 mm, the SBGW323 “Kiri” pairs a deep purple dial, named for the paulownia flower, with the signature Mt. Iwate textures. Housed in stainless steel, the manually wound 9S64 movement runs for 72 hours, and the case holds up to 100 m thanks to its screw-down crown. It’s on sale now for US $ 5,600.
Masterpiece Collection “Proud Lion” (SBGD223)
At the top end, the SBGD223 combines a 44.5 × 14.4 mm platinum case with over 600 diamonds framing a black-treated lion’s mane medallion on the dial. Its hand-wound Spring Drive 9R01 movement boasts an 8-day reserve (192 hours), and 100 m of water resistance. Limited to just eight pieces worldwide, each is priced at US $ 320,000.
Seiko Presage Collection
Seiko announces the Japanese Ai-Iro Blue Presage Classic Series SPB525 and SPB527
Seiko has expanded its Presage line with two new models in the Classic Series: the SPB525 and SPB527, both featuring dark indigo dials known as Ai-Iro. The Presage brand encompasses several sub-collections: Craftsmanship showcases traditional Japanese techniques, Cocktail Time features quirkier designs, Sharp Edge has more angular cases, and Style 60 is retro-inspired. The Classic line focuses on more traditional watch styles, and the new SPB525 & SPB527 fit that design approach.
The SPB525 will be sold at €990 and the SPB527 at €1,230, and both become available in October through Seiko.
Presage Classic Series Urushi Dial SPB499
One of the advantages of being a large watch brand like Seiko is the freedom to create many collections and series. They can even break them down further into sub-collections tailored to different styles. That’s what they’ve done with the Presage line. There’s the Presage Classic for more traditional designs, Cocktail Time for playful styles, Sharp Edge for angular cases, and Style 60 for vintage-inspired models. Within Presage, there’s also the Craftsmanship Series, which focuses on clean, refined watches that highlight Japanese craftsmanship. The newest models in this series are the Seiko Presage SPB495 with a white enamel dial and the new Presage Classic Series Craftsmanship Urushi SPB499. Click here to see full details and price
The Smaller Seiko Presage
Seiko appears to be going through a period of change. In recent years, they’ve reorganized their diver collections, updated entry-level models like the Seiko 5 Sports, and significantly expanded the Presage line. Now, they’re adding three more models to the Presage collection, specifically to one of its most straightforward branches: the Classic Series. These new watches, the SPB521, SPB523, and SPB524, take their design inspiration from the traditional Japanese silk of the Edo period.
The smaller Seiko Presage Series watches will be available with a price of $1000. For more details, visit the Seiko website.
Unglazed Arita Porcelain SPB497
Over the past five or six years, Seiko has introduced several beautiful Arita porcelain dials in the Presage collection. Using the traditional Japanese porcelain technique, they’ve explored various textures and colors. But their latest release, the Presage Classic Series Craftsmanship Unglazed Arita Porcelain Dial Limited Edition SPB497 (a shorter name wouldn’t hurt, Seiko), might just be the most impressive yet, thanks to its unique unglazed finish.
The new Seiko Presage Classic Series Unglazed Arita Porcelain SPB497 is limited to 1,200 pieces and will be available starting in July, priced at €1,950. For more information, visit the Seiko website.
The SKX-Inspired Seiko 5 Sports
The Seiko SKX007 is one of those classic watches that is no longer being produced. While you can still find vintage models in great condition, there’s also a modern alternative: the Seiko 5 Sports SKX Series, first introduced in 2019. Now, Seiko is refreshing that lineup with four new models, SRPL83, SRPL85, SRPL87, and SRPL89, featuring updated bezels, dials, and a slightly refined bracelet.
These new models are part of the permanent Seiko 5 Sports collection and will be available starting in June. The yellow SRPL87 and orange SRPL89 are priced at €400, while the blue SRPL83 and black SRPL85, which come with upgraded bracelets, are priced at €440. For more information, visit the Seiko website.
Strap Recommendations
Given these watches, there are plenty of strap options I could recommend. However, a few stand out as my personal favorites that will truly enhance the look of your timepieces. You can find them below.
Black Diamond Leather
Crafted from the same rare Black Diamond Wagyu hide, this strap offers exceptional strength and a striking pebbled texture that will only develop more character with wear. Pair it with indigo denim or a navy blazer for a polished casual look, or let it anchor a smart-casual ensemble at weekend gatherings.
Tawny Brown Habana
This strap’s full-grain hide is padded for added comfort and showcases a rich, warm tawny brown that softens over time into a rich patina. It works beautifully with earth-toned outfits. think olive chinos, camel sweaters, or tweed jackets, making it ideal for autumn evenings or relaxed office attire.
Himalayan Alligator Leather
Woven from premium alligator scales, this strap combines supple flexibility with remarkable durability, each scale lending an eye-catching relief. Its one-of-a-kind Himalayan shade, an ivory base with faint grey-green undertones, plays off matte black or deep-charcoal dials for a high-impact look. It’s the perfect accent for summer whites.
