Porsche Launched Chronograph 911 GT3

When discussing Porsche, people usually think about high-end and luxury cars. Surprisingly, I also discovered that Porsche also releases timepiece versions based on their cars. Design and Details of Chronograph 911 GT3

Case

Both feature a titanium case in two finishes: matte black titanium carbide or glass-bead blasted. The cases are 42 mm wide and 15.3 mm thick, with sapphire crystals on both sides. A large titanium screw-down crown sits on the side. You can choose from different scale options (minute, tachymeter, or pulsometer) and a bezel in either matte silver or black. They offer 100-meter water resistance.

Dial

The what the brand calls a GT dial with a plate of hexagonal cutouts, identical to the Sport Chrono GT clock in the chronograph 911 GT3. This plate is encircled by a yellow ring and a raised ring with applied indices. The hour and minute hands are black rhodium-plated with Super-LumiNova. You can configure the chronograph hands in three colors: Performance (white), Essence (black), and GT (yellow). At 9 o’clock, the second disc reads “911 GT3” and has a checkered flag design. The entire dial is framed by a colored ring, available in any Porsche color, including options from the Paint To Sample program.

Power

Powering the Chronograph 911GT3 is the Porsche Design WERK 01.200, a flyback chronograph based on the ETA 7750, which beats at 4Hz with a 48-hour power reserve and COSC certification. If you own the 911 GT3 with Weissach Package or 911 GT3 Touring with Lightweight Package, you can also choose a 911 GT3 Weissach Rotor. The watch comes with various leather straps made from the same leather used in Porsche interiors and can be embossed with either 911 GT3 or 911 GT3 Touring, depending on your car model. Not everyone can purchase this watch, but rather, only exclusively to the purchasers of the new Porsche 911 GT3 or 911 GT3 Touring. Additionally, the Chronograph 911 GT3 has nearly as many personalization choices as the vehicle you plan to purchase.
